DAVA Unit #15 Pahrump, Nevada Officers
My professor at Long Beach talked me into the OSI in the USAF, once thru basic training they said it would be a twenty year commitment to finish my law degree in the Air Force, and 20 years minimum in the OSI. No one gets 20 years of my life so I opted for Door number two, passed the flying physical and became an Air Traffic Controller. The Viet Nam war was soon phasing down and they offered early out to get rid of excess service personnel, I had recently married and my father in law had passed away, so the only time I volunteered during active duty. I joined the DAVA October 2013. I wanted to keep my husband company and take part in activities. February 2014 I became the Unit Adjutant. I never knew how much giving I could do. I also got many new friends, I even found my “best” friend. We laugh, we cry and we work together.
